~ Part 5 – Creating a Better Life ~

Last time I left off with this statement:
“Learn to be rich in ALL areas of your Life!”

This is HOW:
Visualize you perfect life.

 

Use all 5 of your senses and get very detailed.

See the house: What style is it? Is it in the mountains overlooking the city or on a beach? Walk inside and notice the floors, the pictures and decor, the textures. What style of furniture does it have? What is the color scheme?

Smell the aroma of flowers or home cooking or the ocean, hear the birds or the distant cry of the wolves, taste the delicious food, and feel the variety of textures.

The more detailed, the more it becomes your new life.

(Caution: Please don’t dream up someone else’s life. This has got to be what YOU really want your life to be.) This may take some real soul-searching and time. It took me 4 hours to write mine out and another 4 hours to tweak it!

As Tony Robbins says, “Live With Passion!”

Step 1: KNOW WHAT YOU REALLY WANT OUT OF LIFE.
WRITE IT DOWN in detail using all 5 senses.

OK! Did you take step 1 and write out what you really want your life to look like, using all 5 senses? If you did that, Congratulations!

You may have noticed that so far we only have material things listed (and a few things you appreciate like the singing of birds). However, not everything we want or need is material. Life is not just about “getting material things” … and the most important aspects of life are not included in that exercise. It was a good “start” but if you stop there, it will leave you very empty!

I’m having you do this in two steps to emphasize how important this is. There are many categories in life and people are complex. There are spiritual, emotional, physical, mental, moral, and social needs.

 

Step 2: Now I’d like you to take the “setting” that you created and incorporate into it “How a day in your’ perfect life’ would look.

Include friends and family, activities that you enjoy and please remember to use all 5 senses. I’m hoping that this will help you release past limiting beliefs and open up to you the world of possibilities. (Wait ’til you hear the Flea and the Fly stories!)

What do you truly Want and Need? If you are totally honest with yourself and base this exercise on your values and goals, it will even be more enlightening to you and hopefully show you what direction your life should be taking.

(If you didn’t do the exercise about your Values and Goals, please go back to the article, “What Do You Value” and do the exercise. It will increase the effectiveness of this exercise 100-fold.)

Alright! Now you know what you want your quality life to look like.
It’s based on your own governing core values.
It’s Your life, it’s personalized, it’s uniquely your own.

Good Job!
We are moving along and making progress, laying a very firm foundation.

Now that you have that finished, I want you to consider very seriously
this interesting and vital concept. . .

It’s True!

Your thoughts determine your feelings.
Your feelings move you to take action
and your actions determine your future.

You choose your own lifestyle.
The sooner we each realize that we are responsible
for our own decisions, the sooner we will be able to
move ahead and create the life of our CHOOSING!

Every decision you made in the past has gotten you to this very place in your life.

That is Powerful. Please go back and read that over and think seriously about this.
