So many people have been mislead into thinking that Search Engine Optimization is HARD and only for techies! Not true!
It’s easy peasy! It’s elementary, my Dear Watson! Simple as pie! A piece of cake! Hmmm how I’m getting hungry for some odd reason!
I’m here to tell you that you can optimize your blog and get much higher results and rankings VERY EASILY…
In fact, just do these 5 steps to see results. Let me take all the mystery out of it and open your eyes to the simplicity of it all . . . AND you won’t have to sit in an hour-long webinar to get to these GOLDEN NUGGETS.
Let’s talk about Keywords. (It’s ok, I promise! They won’t hurt you!)
Yes… I know they frighten you and make you want to run the other way.. but Hey! I have a super duper simple tool that’s free and can help you out. Just a teensie beansie little bit of research can get a LOT more visitors to your blog. It’s WELL Worth the effort and it CAN be fun once you understand what you’re doing and the results you can get.
Think of KEYWORDS like KEYS that unlock tons and tons of potential targeted customers and loyal followers and even some business partners… Yes, these keys (keywords) can help you CONNECT with the right people.|
1. KNOW YOUR AUDIENCE – Identify your targeted prospect and think about what THEY would search for. Get into their head! What are they looking for? What do they go to google to find out about? What do they want to know? What is the problem they are trying to solve? What do they WANT?
2. SEARCH KEYWORDS – Go to https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner (without the quotes!) It’s a free tool. Search a phrase that your target market may be looking for.

3. FIND YOUR KEYWORDS – A list to help you will pop up. It’s so user-friendly 🙂 It will you all kinds of phrases with the keyword phrase you typed in and how many searches they get every month… USA and Globally. Neat, huh? 🙂
It will give you all kinds of ideas of keywords to use for your blog on the subject you want to write about to SOLVE other people’s problems. (That’s key! Pardon the pun!!) You don’t want to come across as a Sales person… you want to help people SOLVE their problem or ANSWER their question.

Here’s the rule to follow:
Choose a keyword phrase that gets between 6,000 and 100,000 searches.
If the numbers for your keyword phrase are too low (under 6,000), you probably won’t have enough people searching and finding you. If the numbers searched are over 100,000 you will probably encounter too much competition and won’t show up enough to be found.
Can you see how this can optimize your blog?
Alright, now that you have the Keyword Phrase that you want to use in your blog, let’s go write it and sprinkle the keyword phrase in it so that it gets picked up on the search engines!
When you create content, sprinkle in the EXACT keyword phrase throughout your blog.
Once every 100 words is good.
The 5 Steps to Optimize your Blog for SEO
1. Use the H1, H2 and H3 in your blog as Titles with various sizes.
Do you see the WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor across the top of your blog?
Under the B for Bold, there is a drop down menu where you can change the sizes of your font.
This is where you will see the various HEADING sizes to use.
So simply highlight the KEYWORD Rich title and pick H1.
A little farther, perhaps midway in your blog, insert the keyword again in a sentence or sub-heading and pick H2.
Toward the end of the article, wrap it up with another Keyword rich sentence and select H3.
2. Bold your Keyword phrase
3. Italicize your Keyword phrase
4. Underline your Keyword phrase
5. Image – Add an ALT tag to it using your Keyword phrase
