Discover YOUR Path to Success

Creating a Better Life

identitythumbprintThere is true power in discovering why you exist and what you really should be doing with your life. What is your purpose? Why are you on this planet and what do you want to accomplish? Do you have an entrepreneur inside you?

Before we even ask those questions, we need to know exactly who we ARE and what we believe.

Write this down!
To live life on purpose, with conviction, to feel truly ALIVE and have a satisfying, fulfilled life…

“Our Behavior Needs to be Consistent With Our Identity!”

Before I go on, let me share with you a couple true life experiences to show the importance of this subject and how it can IMPACT your life. If you feel little twangs of emotions as you read this, you’ll enjoy the ending. . .

My Dad got married, had 3 children, (I being the youngest), he purchased a house in Chicago and proceeded to get a job as a sales clerk in a local hardware store, just a few blocks from our home. I must add, he was a very smart man. He was frugal (Robert Kiyosaki, Author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” would classify him as Poor Dad)  and could just walk to work and he didn’t even buy a car until I was almost married!

Although he never complained, I knew he was discontented, at least with the rate of pay he was getting, because he was always looking for extra income and I could tell he really wanted to be his own boss!

I know at times he was miserable working at that hardware store. He’d tell us how the boss would continue to tell him to do something else, even though he already had 3 projects he was working on. The boss would go on beautiful vacations every year and bring us a souvenir spoon of the exotic place they visited… kind of a slap in the face.

Dad realized he was working long hours, from 8:30 am to 6pm, for dribbles and building his boss’s empire…

Nevertheless, he felt stuck and kept his job because he had mom and the 3 of us to provide for, a mortgage and bills to pay. But he tried his hand at a couple work at home projects. . .

One of my Dad’s earliest encounters with entrepreneurialism was selling light bulbs that claimed to outlast the ones on the store shelves, saving people a lot of money over time. He called his little business, “Masters of Chicago” and soon there were boxes of  light bulbs in our dining room! Seemed like a nice little gig until he discovered he hated selling!

We tend to get STUCK, working for someone else… and not fulfilling who we are and what WE want to do in life.

Napoleon Hill talked about that. He had many jobs, created million-dollar companies, but would hit a point where he would become ‘fidgidy’, ‘restless’ and he would QUIT and walk away from a great income… over and over again!

I tried working for someone else for a while… Didn’t turn out too good! It was a fax order entry position for a large office supply company. I was way past miserable. Every day it drained more and more life out of me… I felt like a walking zombie! It got worse and worse and anger was building up. I dreaded going in and I couldn’t wait to go home. I felt trapped and my spirit was crushed. I was literally in agony.

It’s just not in my DNA, as they say! I’m unemployable! I love working for myself instead of building someone ELSE’S empire!

Robert Kiyosaki calls it the “old school” way of making a living…IfMoneyWereNeverAnIssue

He explains it this way.. First he talks about the school system and then the reality of what it produces in lives that follow that pattern:

“Every child has a genius in them—the one thing that lights up their life, motivates them, feeds their dreams, and challenges them. Unfortunately, school often does not recognize the genius in our children. And even more, school may even crush a child’s genius.”

“As children grow older, they get trapped in the rat race. Because they go to college and take on debt, they have to get a high paying job. Soon they buy a house, and because of that debt, they must keep working. Then other expenses like kids, health care, and more paint them into a corner. Before you know it, the dreams of youth are gone, replaced with what for some is a miserable reality of work that is not soul-giving.”

Yes, it’s not soul-giving… Instead, it’s sucking life OUT of you!

In the process of chasing other peoples’ dreams for our lives, we often lose ourselves. When that happens, we are crushed…

Do you feel like a walking zombie?
Are you crushed?
Are you just chasing money to pay bills?
Isn’t life worth MORE than that?

We must find our own path. pathstairwayinforest

It’s not easy. We can often get lost in the process, and it’s not always simple to find our way back. But finding our path—releasing our inner self, awakening the giant within, (as Tony Robbins says)  is essential to a happy life.

How about you? How is your path going? Do you find yourself making these types of statements?

– “I love what I do, but I wish I could make more money.”
– “I can’t wait for the weekend.”
– “I want to do my own thing.”
– “I hate my job!”
– “Is it quitting time yet?”

If so, it may be time to find a new path. To discover your life’s purpose, why you were given this gift called life, and what the gift is that you should give back to the world.

If you feel you are not on the right path, I encourage you to search your heart and find your path in life.

I want to help you TRANSITION back to the life you were meant to have. Transform yourself, back to who you really ARE and work in harmony with your true identity so that you will do what satisfies you and fulfills who you are, so that you can give to the world the best you have.
